Exness IB vs Rebate Service: What Is the Difference? (2026)
Short answer: an Exness IB and a rebate service are paid from the same place, the Exness partner program, so the difference is not where the money comes from but how the rebate is run. With an individual IB, a rebate is usually a private arrangement with one person, and its terms can change from client to client or over time. OG Cashback is a rebate service run by a team: we return a fixed 90% share of the partner commission to every client, publish that share, and pay it automatically every day into your own Exness trading account, so you can check every payment yourself.

Whichever route you choose, the money comes from the same Exness partner programme. For rates, automatic payouts and how to claim, see our Exness rebate guide.

Where the rebate comes from: the same partner program
Exness runs a partner program. A partner introduces clients to Exness, and when a client linked to that partner trades, Exness pays the partner a commission from its own revenue. Traders often call such a partner an IB, short for introducing broker.
On Standard, Standard Cent and Pro accounts, the partner commission is a share of the spread. On Raw Spread and Zero accounts, it is a fixed amount per lot, per side, set by instrument. The full mechanics are in Exness partner commission explained.
Every rebate service, including ours, works through this same program. That is where a rebate comes from: the partner receives the commission and passes part of it back to you. Rebates come from the partner commission. Our Exness Partner ID is public: 1165839811704103137.
The commission is paid by Exness, not by you. Your spreads, commissions and trading conditions are the same whether your account is linked to an IB, to a rebate service or to no partner at all. So the useful question is not "IB or rebate service?" but "what happens to the partner commission after Exness pays it, and can I check it?"
Exness IB vs rebate service: side by side
The table compares a typical private arrangement with an individual IB with how we run OG Cashback. Arrangements differ, and some individual IBs publish clear terms and pay reliably. Use the last column to check any provider, including us.
| Topic | Individual IB (private arrangement) | OG Cashback (team-run rebate service) | Where you can check |
|---|---|---|---|
| Who runs it | Usually one person, contacted through a private chat. | A team and a system. The website is available in 12 languages, and replies from our support email are signed by the OG Cashback team. | Our website and support@ogcashback.com |
| Rebate terms | Agreed with each client, and may differ from person to person. | One formula for every client: 90% of the partner commission to you. Free, no minimum, from 0.01 lot. | How Exness cashback works |
| Stability of the share | Often no published terms to refer to. The rate can be changed, and payments can be late or stop. | The 90% share is fixed, published and the same for everyone. It is never adjusted or negotiated case by case. | This page and our published rate tables |
| How you are paid | Depends on the person, for example to a wallet, a bank account or another channel. | Automatically, once a day, into your own Exness trading account as a separate credit record. We never hold client funds. | Your transaction history in the Exness Personal Area |
| Who they are | Often no public details. | Public Partner ID 1165839811704103137. Anyone can ask Exness support which partner a trading account is assigned to. | Exness Partner ID and Exness support |

What a fixed 90% share means, and what it does not
"Fixed" is the core of the difference, so it should be precise. The fixed part is the share: 90% of the partner commission Exness pays on your trades. The dollar amount per lot is not fixed, because the partner commission itself moves.
| Statement | True? | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Every client receives the same 90% share. | Yes | One formula for everyone, published on our website. |
| My share can be lowered for me personally. | No | We never adjust the share case by case or negotiate it per client. |
| I receive the same dollar amount on every lot. | No | On Standard, Standard Cent and Pro the partner commission is a share of the spread at execution, so it moves with the spread. |
| The per-lot figures can change. | Yes | Exness sets the partner commission and may change it, including by partner tier. If Exness changes the commission it pays us, the per-lot amount changes, but the 90% share does not. |
| Cashback makes my trading profitable. | No | It lowers what you pay to trade. Your trading results are your own. |
Worked example. Suppose Exness pays a partner $10.00 of commission on your trades in one day. This is a round number to show the method, not a rate.
$10.00 × 90% = $9.00, credited to your own trading account. With an individual IB, the same $10.00 is split however that private arrangement says, and the split may change if the arrangement changes.
In real figures: at the top partner tier, XAUUSD on a Standard account returns up to $15.5 per lot. Trading 1 lot a day for 22 trading days gives up to $341 a month ($15.5 × 1 lot × 22 days). These are the XAUUSD Standard maximums, at the widest spread we have seen paid; at tighter spreads the amount is smaller. Try your own volume in the Exness cashback calculator.
Published figures: 90% of the partner commission at the top Exness partner tier, as of 12 October 2026. Exness sets the partner commission and may change it.
Why private rebate terms can change
Exness pays the commission to the partner. What the partner passes back to you is a separate matter between you and that partner. With an individual IB, this is often a private arrangement made in a chat, with no published terms.
That is not wrong in itself, and many arrangements work well. But it means the other side can change the terms: the rate can be lowered, payments can be delayed, or they can stop, and you may have no published reference to point to. A private arrangement is between you and that person, so resolving a problem depends on that relationship.
If this has happened to you, see what you can do when an Exness IB stops paying your rebate or changes the rate.
How to verify any rebate provider, including us
You do not need to rely on anyone's word. Five checks work for any IB or rebate service:
- Ask Exness support which Partner ID your trading account is assigned to. It should match the provider's public Partner ID; ours is on the Exness Partner ID page.
- Find the published share. If the terms exist only in a chat message, they can change without notice.
- Check where payments land. A rebate paid into your own Exness trading account appears in your transaction history, so you can match each credit with the trades behind it. See Exness rebate payout.
- Check how often you are paid. With a daily payment, a missing day is visible the next day.
- Never share your trading password or send deposits to a provider. A rebate provider needs neither.
For our partnership, you can also enter your trading account number in the Exness rebate checker. No login is needed. An account that is truly connected to us shows within minutes, because our system pulls data from Exness about every 15 minutes.

How to switch from an IB to a rebate service
Switching is done through Exness, not through any partner. It takes one live-chat request and a new trading account:
| Step | What to do |
|---|---|
| 1 | Open live chat in your Exness Personal Area and ask for a partner change to Partner ID 1165839811704103137. |
| 2 | Wait for the confirmation email from Exness. That email marks the change. |
| 3 | After that email, open a new trading account in the same Exness profile. No new registration is needed. |
| 4 | Check the new account number in the rebate checker. |
| 5 | If you wish, move funds from an old account to the new one with an internal transfer in your Personal Area. |
Trading accounts opened before the confirmation email are not moved. They stay under your Exness profile with the previous partner and earn no rebate through us. Full details: how to change your Exness partner.
Who runs OG Cashback
OG Cashback is a rebate service run by a team, not a personal IB. We are an independent affiliate operating under an official Exness partnership. We are not Exness and we do not speak for Exness. As of 12 October 2026, our partnership is at the top Exness partner tier.
We are paid through the partner commission Exness pays on your trades, and up to 90% of it goes back to you. We do not charge fees, we never take money from your trading account, and we do not sell signals, manage accounts or give investment advice. The website is available in 12 languages, and you can reach the team at support@ogcashback.com. More on our about page.
Keep in mind: Cashback lowers your trading costs; it does not make trading profitable. Trading Forex and CFDs carries a high risk of loss.
Frequently asked questions
Is OG Cashback an IB?
We work through the Exness partner program, like every rebate service — that is where rebates come from. We run it as a rebate service by a team, not as a personal IB: one published 90% share for every client, paid automatically every day into your own Exness trading account, and a public Partner ID you can verify with Exness. See the Exness Partner ID page.
Can my rebate rate change?
The 90% share is the same for every client, and we do not adjust it case by case. The dollar amount per lot can change, because it depends on the spread of each trade and on the partner commission Exness pays. If Exness changes the commission it pays us, the per-lot amount changes, but the 90% share does not.
What if my current IB stops paying my rebate?
A private rebate arrangement is between you and that person, so start by checking your own records and asking them in writing. You cannot move existing trading accounts to a new partner, but you can move your future trading: request a partner change in Exness live chat and open a new trading account after the confirmation email. Step-by-step help: Exness IB stopped paying your rebate.
Do I need a new Exness account to switch?
You need a new trading account, not a new Exness registration. After Exness confirms the partner change by email, open a new trading account in the same profile; only accounts opened after that email are covered. You can move funds to it with an internal transfer in your Personal Area.
Does changing partner affect my funds or trading conditions?
No. Your funds, open positions, spreads and account terms stay the same. The only change is which partner Exness pays the commission to on trading accounts you open after the confirmation email.
Is a rebate service always better than an IB?
Not automatically. Judge any provider on what you can verify: a public Partner ID, a published share, payment into your own Exness account, and no requests for your password or deposits. Some individual IBs meet these checks, so choose the provider whose terms you can check yourself.
