What Is an Exness IB (Introducing Broker)? Explained for Traders (2026)
Short answer: an Exness IB (introducing broker) is a partner in the Exness partner program who refers traders to Exness. Exness pays that partner a commission from its own revenue on the referred traders' trades. You do not pay the partner anything, and your spreads and trading conditions stay the same. When a partner passes part of that commission back to you, it is called an IB rebate, or cashback.

Exness IB in six lines
| Question | Short answer |
|---|---|
| What it is | A partner in the Exness partner program who introduces traders to Exness. Exness uses the word "partner"; many traders say "IB". |
| Who pays the IB | Exness, from its own revenue, on the trades of the traders assigned to that partner. |
| Cost to you | Nothing. The partner commission is not taken from your trading account. |
| Your trading conditions | Unchanged. Spreads, commissions and execution are the same as trading without a partner. |
| How you are linked | Through the partner's signup link when you open your account, or through a partner change in Exness live chat. |
| IB rebate | Part of the partner commission paid back to you. The share and the way it is paid depend on the partner. |
What does an introducing broker do?
An introducing broker introduces new clients to a broker. On Exness, a person or a team joins the Exness partner program and receives a Partner ID and a signup link. When a trader opens an Exness account through that link, the trader's trading accounts are assigned to that partner.
Exness still does everything else: it holds your funds, executes your trades, handles deposits and withdrawals and sets your trading conditions. Your funds stay in your own Exness account, not with the partner.
What a partner offers beyond the link varies. Some publish education, some run local-language communities, and some share part of their commission back with clients. These extras are not part of Exness's service; they are between you and the partner.
How is an Exness IB paid?
Exness pays the partner a commission, from its own revenue, on the trades of the clients assigned to them. It is not an extra fee on your trades, and it is never deducted from your trading account.
How the commission is generated depends on your account type:
- Standard, Standard Cent and Pro: the partner commission is a share of the spread Exness earns on your trades.
- Raw Spread and Zero: the partner commission is a fixed amount per lot, per side, set by instrument. It does not depend on the trading commission charged on your account.
The amount also depends on the partner's tier in the Exness partner program. Exness sets the partner commission and may change it. The full mechanics are in Exness partner commission explained.
Does having an IB change your trading?
No. Your spreads, trading commissions, execution and account terms are the same as trading without a partner. You keep dealing with Exness directly for deposits, withdrawals and account support.
A partner only decides what happens to the partner commission: keep all of it, or share part of it back with you as a rebate on the lots you trade.
How to see which partner your account is under
The partner is attached to each trading account, and a profile that changed partner can still hold older accounts under the previous partner. Check the specific trading account in one of three ways:
- Ask Exness live chat about the trading account, not your profile. For example: "Which Partner ID is trading account #X assigned to?"
- If you changed partner, read Exness's confirmation email. It states the new Partner ID, and its date tells you which accounts are covered: only trading accounts opened after that email.
- If you expect to be under our partnership, enter the trading account number in our free Exness rebate checker. No login is needed.
If you never agreed to any rebate with your partner, you are most likely receiving nothing back.
What is an IB rebate?
An IB rebate is the part of the partner commission that a partner pays back to the trader. It is also called cashback or a rebate. The money comes from the same place as the partner's commission, Exness's own revenue, so a rebate does not change your spreads or trading conditions.
Every rebate arrangement on Exness, including ours, works through the Exness partner program. What differs is how it is run: who sets the share, whether the terms are published and what you can check yourself.
| Question | Private arrangement with an individual IB | Published terms |
|---|---|---|
| Who sets the share | Agreed with that person, often by private message. It may differ from one client to the next. | Written on a public website and the same for every client. |
| Can the terms change | They can change whenever that person decides. | Not adjusted case by case. The share is published on the website. |
| What you can check | Mostly the messages you exchanged with that person. | The published terms, the payment records in your own account and the Partner ID with Exness. |
A private arrangement can work well, but you may have little to refer to if the rate changes or payments stop. If that has happened to you, see Exness IB stopped paying your rebate. The full side-by-side comparison is in Exness IB vs rebate service.
Worked example: a fixed 90% share
With our published figures, 1 lot of XAUUSD a day on a Standard account for 22 trading days returns up to $15.5 × 1 lot × 22 days = up to $341 a month. "Fixed" means the 90% share, not the dollar amount per lot, which moves with the spread and the partner commission Exness pays; see Exness IB vs rebate service for the full explanation.
Published figures: 90% of the partner commission at the top Exness partner tier, as of 12 October 2026. Exness sets the partner commission and may change it.
Keep in mind: Cashback lowers your trading costs; it does not make trading profitable. Trading Forex and CFDs carries a high risk of loss.
How to change your Exness partner
You can move future trading to a different partner without a new registration. Exness makes the change; no partner can do it on your behalf.
| Step | What to do |
|---|---|
| 1 | Open live chat in your Exness Personal Area and ask for a partner change to the new partner's Partner ID. |
| 2 | Wait for Exness's confirmation email. It states the new Partner ID. That email means the change is approved. |
| 3 | Open a new trading account in the same Exness profile after that email. Only accounts opened after it are covered. |
| 4 | If you want, move funds to the new account with an internal transfer in your Personal Area. |
Older trading accounts are not moved. They stay under your Exness profile with the previous partner. A partner change does not move funds, close positions or change your spreads. Full walkthrough: how to change your Exness partner.

- The website is available in 12 languages.
We are an independent affiliate, not Exness, and we do not claim that Exness endorses or certifies any rebate provider, including us. To judge any provider, use the eight checks in how to choose an Exness rebate service or read is Exness cashback legit? More on the team: about page.
Want to become an Exness partner yourself?
That is a separate Exness program. If you want to refer traders and earn a partner commission yourself, apply on the Exness partnership page. Exness sets the terms, the tiers and the commission.
OG Cashback does not recruit partners.
One rule to know before you start: Exness detects trading accounts opened under a partner's own link (self-referral) and can stop the commission. A partner cannot earn a rebate on their own trading that way.
Frequently asked questions
What does IB mean on Exness?
IB stands for introducing broker. On Exness it means a partner in the Exness partner program who refers traders and receives a commission from Exness on their trades. Exness itself uses the word "partner".
Does an Exness IB cost me anything?
No. Exness pays the partner commission from its own revenue, not from your trading account. Your spreads and trading conditions are the same with or without a partner.
How do I find out which IB my Exness account is under?
Ask Exness live chat which Partner ID your trading account is assigned to. Ask about the specific trading account, not your profile, because older accounts can stay with a previous partner after a partner change.
Can I change my Exness IB?
Yes. Ask Exness live chat for a partner change to the new Partner ID and wait for the confirmation email. Only trading accounts opened after that email are covered; older accounts stay with the previous partner. The steps are in how to change your Exness partner.
Is an IB rebate the same as cashback?
Yes. Both mean part of the partner commission paid back to the trader. What matters is the share, whether the terms are published and where the money is paid.
Is OG Cashback an IB?
We work through the Exness partner program, like every rebate service — that is where rebates come from. We run it as a rebate service by a team, not as a personal IB: one published 90% share for every client, paid automatically every day into your own Exness trading account, and a public Partner ID you can verify with Exness. See the Exness Partner ID page.
