How to Open an Exness Account in 2026 (Step by Step) and Get Cashback From Day One
Short answer: to open an Exness account, you register a Personal Area with your email and a password, confirm your email and your phone number with 6-digit codes, enter your personal details, upload proof of identity and proof of address, and then open a real or demo trading account. Exness says document checks can take up to 24 hours (Exness Help Centre, 10 Oct 2026). To get cashback from your first trade, register through a partner link before you open any trading account — the partner is recorded on your profile, and every trading account you open in it is covered.

What you need before you start
Opening an Exness account takes a few minutes. Verification takes longer, so it helps to have your documents ready before you begin.
- An email address and a phone number that you use. Exness sends a 6-digit code to each.
- A proof of identity: a passport, a national ID card or a driver's licence.
- A proof of address: a utility bill, a bank statement or an official government letter, dated within the last 6 months and showing your name and address.
- Residence in a country that Exness serves. Exness asks you to confirm that you are not a US citizen or resident, and it does not provide services in some other jurisdictions either.
If you want cashback, decide on the partner link now, not later. The order of the steps matters, and it is explained below.
How to open an Exness account: the steps
These are the steps Exness describes in its Help Centre. The screens can look slightly different in the app and on the website, but the order is the same.
| Step | What you do | What to know |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Register: enter your email and a password, and confirm that you are not a US citizen or resident. | This creates your Personal Area, the profile where you open trading accounts and manage your settings. Register through a partner link at this step if you want cashback. |
| 2 | Confirm your email with the 6-digit code that Exness sends. | Use an inbox you can open at any time. Exness writes to it about your account. |
| 3 | Confirm your phone number with a 6-digit code, sent by SMS or by call. | Use a number that you keep. |
| 4 | Enter your personal information, and answer the questions about your source of income, your industry and your trading experience. | Your name and details must match your documents exactly. |
| 5 | Upload your proof of identity and your proof of address. | Exness says checks can take up to 24 hours. |
| 6 | Open a trading account: choose the account type, real or demo, the account currency, a nickname, the maximum leverage, the platform (MT4 or MT5) and a trading password. | You can open more than one trading account in the same Personal Area. |
| 7 | Make your first deposit from your Personal Area. | The payment methods you see depend on the region you registered in. |

Which documents does Exness ask for?
Exness asks for two documents: one that proves who you are, and one that proves where you live.
| Document | Accepted examples | Check before you upload |
|---|---|---|
| Proof of identity | Passport, national ID card or driver's licence | The name matches the name you entered in step 4. |
| Proof of address | Utility bill, bank statement or official government letter | Dated within the last 6 months, and showing your name and address. |
A demo account and a real account can both be chosen when you create a trading account. A demo account uses virtual money, so you can try the platform first. Exness explains which documents are needed for real and for demo accounts in a separate Help Centre article. Read it, and the notices in your Personal Area, to see what you must complete before your first deposit or trade.
Choosing account type, currency, leverage and platform
In step 6 you choose the account type, the account currency, the maximum leverage and the platform. You can open another trading account later if you want a different combination.
| Account type | Spread from | Trading commission | XAUUSD cashback (up to) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | 0.2 pips | None | $15.5 per lot |
| Standard Cent | 0.3 pips | None | $15.5 per standard lot (100 cent lots) |
| Pro | 0.1 pips | None | $5.93 per lot |
| Raw Spread | 0.0 pips | Up to 3.50 USD per lot, per side | $2.70 per lot, per side |
| Zero | 0.0 pips on the top 30 instruments, about 95% of the time | From 0.05 USD per lot, per side | $2.70 per lot, per side |
Spreads and commissions: as published by Exness on 10 October 2026 (Exness Help Centre). Check the current value in your Exness Personal Area or the Exness Help Centre before relying on it. Cashback figures are maximums: 90% of the partner commission at the top Exness partner tier; on Standard, Standard Cent and Pro the amount moves with the spread at execution. Exness sets the partner commission and may change it.
- Account type. Choose the account that fits your trading, not the one with the highest cashback figure. A wider spread can cost more than the extra cashback returns. Compare them in Exness account types and cashback rates, or read the Exness cent account explained if you want to trade small sizes.
- Minimum deposit. For Pro, Raw Spread and Zero, Exness publishes a first deposit from USD 200, which can vary by country. For Standard and Standard Cent there is no account-type minimum; only the minimum of your payment method applies. For accounts registered in Thailand, Exness set USD 10 for Standard and Standard Cent and USD 200 for Pro, Raw Spread and Zero, effective 21 September 2026. These figures are as published by Exness on 10 October 2026; see Exness minimum deposit by account type and country.
- Account currency. This is the currency your balance is shown in. The cashback is credited in the same account, so it is shown in that currency too.
- Maximum leverage. Exness offers settings from 1:2 up to 1:Unlimited, and the highest levels depend on your equity and trading history (as published by Exness on 10 October 2026). Higher leverage makes losses grow as fast as gains, and cashback does not reduce that risk. See Exness leverage explained.
- Platform. You choose MT4 or MT5, and every account type offers MT4 accounts. In our partner data, MT5 trading accounts have 9-digit numbers and MT4 accounts have 8-digit numbers. Cashback is the same on both. See Exness MT4 vs MT5.
Where the Partner ID matters: cashback from day one
Exness records one partner for your whole Personal Area, and the partner of each trading account is fixed when that account is opened. If you register through our partner link, your profile is under our partnership from the start. Every trading account you then open in it earns cashback from its first qualifying trade, and you do not need to send any request.
- New to Exness: register through our partner link at step 1, then complete the other steps as usual. The link carries our signup code, xoup3d70ni.
- Our Partner ID is 1165839811704103137. You need it only if you already have an Exness profile and want to change your partner. More on the difference: Exness Partner ID explained.
- Nothing changes in your Exness account because of the partner. Spreads, commissions and conditions stay exactly as Exness sets them, and the cashback is paid from the partner commission Exness pays us, not from your account.
- We return 90% of that partner commission and keep 10%. The service is free, with no minimum volume and no cap, and it counts from 0.01 lot on every account type, including Standard Cent.
A partner link is for clients. If you are a partner yourself, do not open trading accounts for yourself under your own link: Exness detects self-referral and can stop the commission.
Already have an Exness account?
You do not need a new Personal Area. Ask Exness for a partner change instead, then open a new trading account.
| Step | What you do |
|---|---|
| 1 | Open live chat in your Exness Personal Area and ask for a partner change to our Partner ID, 1165839811704103137. |
| 2 | Wait for Exness's confirmation email. That email means the change is done. |
| 3 | Open a new trading account. Log out and back in first so your Personal Area shows the new partner. |
| 4 | Check the new account number in the free Exness rebate checker. |
Accounts opened before the confirmation email stay with your previous partner permanently, and they earn no cashback from us. Only accounts opened after that email are covered. The full guide: how to change your Exness partner.
How to check that your new account is connected
A new trading account that is under our partnership appears in our checker within minutes. You do not need to deposit or trade first, so you can check right after you open it.
- Enter the full trading account number. MT5 accounts under our partnership have 9 digits and MT4 accounts have 8 digits. A missing digit is the most common reason the checker does not find an account.
- If the checker does not find a new account after about 30 minutes, the account is not under us. Open another new trading account after the partner-change email, and check again.
- An account that does not show up can simply be left unused. An account with no deposit and no trades has no effect.
Worked example: the first month
Say you open a Standard account through our link and trade 1 lot of XAUUSD a day for 22 trading days. The cashback is credited once a day to the trading account that traded, as a separate record.
| Daily volume on Standard | XAUUSD (up to, per month) | EURUSD (up to, per month) |
|---|---|---|
| 1 lot a day, or 100 cent lots a day on Standard Cent | $341 | $105 |
| 5 lots a day, or 500 cent lots a day on Standard Cent | $1,705 | $525 |
How we calculate: cashback per lot × lots per day × 22 trading days, at the maximum per-lot figures, rounded to whole dollars. For example, $15.5 × 1 lot × 22 days = $341. Examples are illustrative; real amounts move with the spread at execution. Try your own volume in the Exness cashback calculator.
If you open the trading account before registering through a partner link, or before the partner-change email, those trades earn nothing from us. The same volume on a correctly connected account returns up to the amounts above. Where and when the credit appears: Exness rebate payout.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Opening the trading account first and thinking about cashback later. The partner of an account cannot be changed after it is opened.
- Entering personal details that do not match your documents, which can slow verification.
- Uploading a proof of address older than 6 months, or one that does not show your name.
- Trading on an old account after a partner change. Only accounts opened after Exness's confirmation email are covered.
- Choosing an account type only for its cashback figure. Cashback lowers your trading costs; it does not make trading profitable.
How the cashback itself is calculated, step by step: how Exness cashback works. Funding the account next: Exness deposit and withdrawal.
Keep in mind: Trading Forex and CFDs carries a high risk of loss, and leverage increases that risk. Open a real account only with money you can afford to lose.
Frequently asked questions
How long does it take to open an Exness account?
Registration and the email and phone codes take a few minutes. Exness says document checks can take up to 24 hours (Exness Help Centre, 10 Oct 2026). After that, opening a trading account in your Personal Area takes about a minute.
What documents do I need to open an Exness account?
A proof of identity and a proof of address. Exness accepts a passport, national ID card or driver's licence for identity, and a utility bill, bank statement or official government letter for address, dated within the last 6 months and showing your name and address.
Can I open an Exness demo account first?
Yes. When you create a trading account, you can choose real or demo. A demo account uses virtual money, so it earns no cashback: cashback comes only from real trades, which generate a partner commission.
How do I get cashback on a new Exness account?
Register your Exness profile through our partner link before you open any trading account. Every trading account you open in that profile is then covered from its first qualifying trade. Check the account number in our free rebate checker; a connected account appears within minutes.
I already have an Exness account. Do I need a new profile to get cashback?
No. Ask Exness live chat for a partner change to our Partner ID, 1165839811704103137, and wait for the confirmation email. Then open a new trading account in the same profile. Accounts opened before that email stay with your previous partner.
