Exness Cashback Glossary: Rebate, Partner Commission, Lot, Pip, Spread and More
Short answer: Exness cashback is a rebate of the partner commission Exness pays on your trades, and almost every question about it comes down to a few terms: partner commission, Partner ID, partner change, lot, spread and the daily credit record. This glossary defines 30 terms in plain English, in the sense we use them on this site, with links to the full guides.

Cashback and partner terms
Cashback (rebate)
Cashback, also called a rebate, is money returned to your trading account out of the partner commission Exness pays on your trades. On this site the two words mean the same thing. We return 90% of the partner commission and keep 10%. Cashback lowers your trading costs; it does not make trading profitable.
Partner commission (two meanings)
The word "commission" is used for two different amounts, and mixing them up causes most of the confusion. The first is the partner commission: the amount Exness pays a partner from its own revenue on the trades of clients linked to that partner. This is the source of your cashback. The second is the trading commission: the fee Exness charges you per lot on Raw Spread and Zero accounts. Your cashback is 90% of the first, never a percentage of the second. More in Exness partner commission explained.
Exness partner programme
The programme through which Exness pays partners for the clients linked to them. Cashback services such as ours operate within it. Exness does not endorse or certify any cashback provider, including us.
Partner tier
The level of a partner in the Exness partner portal. In order, from lowest to highest: Common, Advanced, Bronze, Silver, Gold and Brilliant. Higher tiers pay partners more on the same trade. There is no tier called VIP. Our published figures use the top tier, Brilliant.
Partner ID
The number Exness uses to identify a partner account. Ours is 1165839811704103137, and it is public. Existing Exness users give it to Exness live chat when they ask for a partner change, and Exness's confirmation email states it. See our Exness Partner ID.
Signup link code
A short code inside a partner's signup link. Ours is xoup3d70ni. New users do not need to type it: opening an account through our link records it. A "referral code" for Exness cashback usually means either the Partner ID or this code; there is no separate promo code for our service.
Partner change
Moving your Exness profile from one partner to another. You ask Exness live chat for it, and Exness confirms by email. It applies to your profile going forward: only trading accounts opened after the confirmation email are linked to the new partner, and older accounts stay with the previous partner permanently. Step by step: how to change your Exness partner.
Confirmation email
The email Exness sends when a partner change is approved. It states the new Partner ID. Its date and time are the dividing line: accounts opened before it stay with the previous partner, and accounts opened after it are covered.
Self-referral
Opening trading accounts under your own partner link. Exness detects it and can stop the commission. A legit cashback provider will never suggest it.
Spread revenue share
On Standard, Standard Cent and Pro accounts, the partner commission is a share of the spread revenue Exness earns on your trades. Your cashback is 90% of the partner's share: up to 36% of Exness's spread revenue on Standard and Standard Cent, and up to 22.5% on Pro. It is not 90% of the spread you pay.
"Up to" (maximum figure)
Every per-lot figure we publish is a maximum: 90% of the partner commission at the top Exness partner tier and, on spread-based accounts, at the widest spreads. For example, XAUUSD on Standard returns up to $15.5 per lot. What you receive can be lower, because it follows the commission Exness actually pays on your trades.
Rebate checker
Our free tool that shows whether a trading account is under our partnership. You enter the trading account number; no login is needed. A connected new account shows up within minutes. If it is not found after about 30 minutes, it is not under us. Try the Exness rebate checker.
Payout terms
Credit record
The separate entry in your trading account's funds or transaction history that carries the cashback. It is posted after the daily settlement. It is not part of the profit column of any order, because the cashback is not attached to a single trade.
Daily settlement
The once-a-day calculation that works out the cashback on your trades. Trades closed on one UTC day are settled in the next day's calculation, and the credit follows. We do not promise an exact hour. See when and where your cashback appears.
UTC day
A calendar day in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC), from 00:00 to 23:59. Our settlement follows the UTC day, which may differ from your local date. For example, in Bangkok, Jakarta or Ho Chi Minh City (UTC+7), one UTC day runs from 07:00 to 06:59 the next morning, local time.
Account and platform terms
Personal Area
Your Exness profile area, where you open trading accounts, manage deposits and withdrawals, and reach Exness live chat. A partner change is made at this profile level, not for each trading account.
Trading account
An account inside your Exness profile, with its own number, platform and account type, where your trades happen. One profile can hold several trading accounts. Cashback goes to the trading account that traded, and each trading account stays with the partner it was opened under.
Trading account number
The number that identifies a trading account; it is what you enter in our checker. Trading accounts under our partnership on MT5 have 9-digit numbers, and MT4 accounts have 8-digit numbers (observed in our partner data, October 2026). A missing digit is the most common reason an account is not found.
MT4 and MT5
MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5, the trading platforms you choose when you open an Exness trading account. Exness also offers its own web platform, Exness Terminal, for MT5 accounts, and the Exness Trade app (Exness Help Centre, 10 Oct 2026). Cashback works the same on MT4 and MT5 accounts. Compare them in Exness MT4 vs MT5.
Account type
Exness offers five: Standard, Standard Cent, Pro, Raw Spread and Zero. On Standard, Standard Cent and Pro you pay no trading commission and the cost is in the spread: from 0.2 pips on Standard and from 0.1 pips on Pro. On Raw Spread and Zero the spread starts from 0.0 pips and you pay a trading commission per lot, as published by Exness on 10 October 2026. Every type earns cashback: see Exness account types and cashback.
Raw Spread commission
The trading commission Exness charges on Raw Spread accounts: up to 3.50 USD per lot, per side. Zero accounts charge a commission from 0.05 USD per lot, per side (Exness Help Centre, 10 Oct 2026). This is a cost you pay, not the source of your cashback: on both accounts we return 90% of a fixed partner commission, up to $2.70 per lot, per side on XAUUSD. Details in Exness Pro, Raw Spread and Zero cashback.
Per side
A figure quoted per side applies to one side of a trade: the opening or the closing. Exness quotes the Raw Spread and Zero trading commission this way, and we quote Raw Spread and Zero cashback the same way, per lot, per side.

Exness sets the partner commission and may change it.
Trading cost and volume terms
Lot
The standard unit of trade size. One lot of EURUSD is 100,000 units of the base currency, and one lot of XAUUSD is 100 troy ounces of gold (Exness Help Centre, 10 Oct 2026). The smallest order on most instruments is 0.01 lot. Cashback is quoted per lot and scales with volume, so 0.1 lot returns one tenth of the per-lot figure. More in Exness lot size explained.
Cent lot
The lot unit on Standard Cent accounts: 1 cent lot = 0.01 standard lot, and cent symbols carry a "c" suffix, such as EURUSDc (Exness Help Centre, 10 Oct 2026). Cashback is the same per standard lot as on Standard, so 100 cent lots return the same as 1 lot. See Exness Cent account explained.
Pip
The usual unit for price moves and spreads. For most currency pairs a pip is the fourth decimal place (0.0001); for pairs quoted in Japanese yen it is the second decimal place (0.01). Example: on 1 lot of EURUSD, 100,000 units × 0.0001 = 10 USD per pip.
Spread
The difference between the buy price and the sell price at the moment you trade. On spread-based accounts it is the main trading cost, and it changes with market conditions. On Standard, Standard Cent and Pro, the partner commission is a share of the spread, which is why the cashback moves with the spread at execution. See Exness spreads and fees.
Swap and swap-free
Swap is the overnight charge or credit applied to a position held open past the daily rollover. Exness also offers a swap-free status: when it is enabled, no swap is charged on open positions, and accounts registered in selected Islamic countries are swap-free by default (Exness Help Centre, 10 Oct 2026). Swap is not part of the cashback calculation, which is based on the partner commission on the trade.
Leverage
The ratio between the size of a position and the margin needed to open it. At 1:100, a position worth 10,000 USD needs 100 USD of margin. Exness lets you set maximum leverage from 1:2 up to 1:Unlimited, subject to conditions such as account equity and trading history, as published by Exness on 10 October 2026. Leverage multiplies losses as well as gains, and cashback does not reduce that risk. Cashback is calculated per lot, so your leverage setting does not change it. More in Exness leverage explained.
Margin
The part of your funds held to keep a position open. With higher leverage, less margin is needed for the same position, but the position size, and the loss it can produce, stay the same.
Trading days (in our examples)
Our monthly examples use 22 trading days, a typical number of weekdays in a month. Example: up to $15.5 × 1 lot a day × 22 days = up to $341 a month on XAUUSD Standard. Examples are illustrative. Try your own volume in the Exness cashback calculator.

Keep in mind: Trading Forex and CFDs carries a high risk of loss. A lower trading cost does not protect you from losses.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a rebate and cashback on Exness?
There is none on this site: both words mean money returned to your trading account out of the partner commission Exness pays on your trades. We return 90% of that commission and keep 10%, credited once a day to the trading account that traded.
What is the difference between partner commission and trading commission?
Partner commission is what Exness pays a partner from its own revenue on your trades, and it is the source of your cashback. Trading commission is the fee you pay Exness per lot on Raw Spread and Zero accounts. Your cashback is 90% of the partner commission, not a share of the trading commission.
What is a cent lot on Exness?
A cent lot is the lot unit on Standard Cent accounts, and 1 cent lot equals 0.01 standard lot. Cashback is the same per standard lot as on Standard, so 100 cent lots return the same as 1 lot, and one cent lot returns one hundredth of the per-lot figure.
Is the Partner ID the same as a referral code?
No. The Partner ID, 1165839811704103137, identifies our partner account and is used in partner change requests through Exness live chat. The signup link code, xoup3d70ni, sits inside our signup link and is recorded when a new user opens an account through it. Both lead to the same partnership.
